Biography
I was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and grew up in the suburbs. I was blessed to have both parents and grandparents who encouraged me to pursue my passion, and who were accepting of my love of video games. I received my first game console, which was a Super Nintendo, when I was five; and I've been playing games ever since. I've decided to make my lifelong passion a career by becoming a game designer. In the spring of 2019, I graduated with a Master of Entertainment Technology degree from Carnegie Mellon University's Entertainment Technology Center. Currently, I am an Assistant Teaching Professor of Game Design at Pennsylvania State University. I also write Magic: the Gathering-related articles for the Commander's Herald. My other passions include designing theme park attractions and location-based experiences, writing and running tabletop RPG campaigns, writing fantasy fiction, spending time with my dog, and traveling.
Some of my favorite games include: Dungeons and Dragons, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Bloodborne, Magic: the Gathering, Hearthstone, Persona 5, Batman: Arkham City, Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle, Super Smash Bros., Rayman Legends, WWE 2K Series, Bioshock Infinite, Goldeneye 007, Psychonauts, and Undertale.
